Can you smell it? Spring is here!!!!

Well, technically was already here for 3 months and it should be summer-ry now, but as usual, 2012, world temperature fluctuation etc so it is still very early-springy as of now.

Chia Khai said UK is like a fridge, U open the fridge, can see the light shining brightly, but still feel the cold draft up ur neck. Couldn't agree more =)

Yeah, exam season is upon us as thus starts the all work and no play season.

Yet another snow day in London. This time i took about an hour going around my area taking some pictures...

Lately i noticed that alot of our friends got the photography "poison" already.. all start to buy dlsr here and there...

y so fast want dslr? compact can also take good pics marrr... summore much more easier to carry around also.. =P

Hello everyone!!!!

Can see the blog has been left in a bad state for nearly a month now.. no updates from anyone at all!!! Hmmm.... everyone busy?

Oklah then let me update u guys abit of what happened to me recently lor....

Recently I don't online that much anymore cuz I have been considerably busier than last year, everyday when reach home already so tired so don't really have the energy to chat anymore.. =P

So tonight, I busy inside steal free (in mandarin) to clear the cobwebs of this long forgotten blog....

A match!!! Yesh no need to tell me, its a super old game (I had no time to update okay...) AND its not an important game.
But still, its a Premier League game.... still was good...

For those who don't know, the ATP World Finals is the 2nd most important tennis match just below all those Grand Slams.

So basically, the top 8 players of the world are here to play against each other...

Here's the list of the top players, since I know the only 2 names that everyone knows are Federer and Nadal anyways..

Bronze Medallian

Dont misunderstood..i didnt get any bronze medal..
its the name of the level of life saving skills i just passed..
its divided into 3 level..
Bronze Medallian, Bronze Cross, Award and Distinction..
to be an instructor, you need to pass all levels..
to be a life guard, you only need to pass the first one..
mean............im qualified!! =)

here to share with you all what i had learn..
Events of my exam included:

1) Swimming
Speed: 100m within 1 minute 40 seconds
( very very very less people pass before )
Endurance: 300m within 9 minutes

2) Reaching Rescue
Victim in deep water 2m away, rescuer stay beside pool,
pass the aid from the side ( eg. stick ) and pull him back,
perform cross arm pull to pull victim our of the pool..

3) Throwing Rescue
Time limit: 1 minute ( from starting till the rope reach victim )
Victim 10m away in deep water, use unweighted rope

4) Cross Chest Tow
Fully clothed ( both victim and rescuer wear formal )
Swim 20m, perform reverse when victim try to grab
do underwater swim and appear from victime's back
swim back stroke, 2 hand support victim to ly on rescuer

5) Aided Tow
Aid ( 2m rope )
Swim 50m, tow 50m
3 minutes for men, 3:15 for women

6) Combine Rescue
Swim 20m, submerge with head first to reach first brick
depth: 2.5m, swim underwater for 5m, take 2nd brick
victim is above 2nd brick, pass both bricks to victim
both dive with feet first, rescuer support victim to the water surface
give blow each 3 pull of side stroke until reach the side
within 10 seconds, exit victim (unconcious) from pool
perform full set of CPR, vomit, EAR, recovery position

7) Chin Tow With Restraint
Deep water, swim 50m to the victim, perform reverse,
chin tow victim till deep water, victim struggle
perform restraint ( pinch nose, cover mouth, clamp shoulder, hand up )
give instruction, ''don't struggle!"
Chin tow victim back to side of the pool

8) Underwater Swim
Swim underwater for 25m without breaking water surface

9) Defence and Releases
-reverse -single leg block -counter leg block -duck away
-arm pulls release -push up break -elbow break

10) Compact Jump
Jump from 1 floor height into the pool ( =.='' )

Can you all imagine how tired am i after finished all events?
anyone interested to join life saving?! haha..
Actually i had been through a tough journey lor..
felt so stress and depress..but worth it lar..
im not a doctor but i hope i can be a life saver..
many people died before they manage to reach the doctor
so i will proceed to the second level o!! =)

Long Time No See, 好久不见，さしぶりです...

Yo, hello all!!!! After such a looooonnnnnngggggggg time, I finally got my internet, like 30 mins ago. Stupid British..... Everyone thinks there are like sssooo good, soo efficient blah blah blah.... HELL NO!!!!

Took me freaking 1 month to get my phone line working, when it would have only took 3 days, then another 10 days waiting for the internet!!! @$^@%#@^*#*@&#

1st the person at the BT (that's British Telecommunication, same as Telekom) say I just need wait 6 hours. Then after 6 hours no line, phone back again, say need engineer come fix line, which costs me 122 pounds. Im like #$&^#&$ but okay, let him come.

Then when I phone again, another operator say my house no need engineer, so cancelled the engineer appointment. Then she check again, say need engineer again pula, then have to rescedule to 1 week later again cuz engineers not free.

Then when I phone back again to reconfirm appointment, they say my line is already connected. I tried using, but totally no dail tone. Then I gave them the time when I am free so engineer can come. Then the engineer gao gao zho lao gao come 2 hours later, when I need to go class. Then he say oh too bad, u have to rescedule again.

Im ald like gonna F*** U but bo pian, have to rescedule YET AGAIN. dam cibai one these ang moh lao gao. Then later only engineer come to fix line. AFTER THAT only start 2 apply internet, another 10 days wait... then only sampai now, baru can online.. OMG!!!

Im like sssoooo out date with news around the world now.... Apparently got like earthquake, typhoon, snow etc etc.... 1 word-the world is going crazy lah.. the Mayan's prediction 2010 might actually come true.. SO REMEMBER TO WATCH 2010!!!! =) [no, Im not paid to advertise the movie]

The legendary field itself.
It's kinda hard to imagine that I am actually there, its soooooo much different than what we see on TV

The seats around me. Contrary to beliefs, the seats are actually super comfy. They are actually cushioned so ur @$$ don't feel sore even after 1 hr++ sitting down (not like thats what anyone normally do in a football match)

It is hard to get this across, but Old Trafford is SERIOUSLY HUGE. And its so breathtakingly beautiful. Seriously. I held my breath when I 1st stepped into the stadium itself.
Its not like some small gray dingy stadium like the on on Jalan Stadium. This is actually an art by itself. Everything is clean and in order.
Even the pics i took gives no justice to the actual stadium itself.
Being the 2nd largest stadium in the UK (apparently) it seriously is amazing how they manage to keep everything tidy. I forgot to mention this, but barely 24 hours ago was the 2-1 match between Man U and Bolton. So u can imagine how efficient they are. There is absolutely not a speck of dirt when we were there.
Just take my word for it.

Then, we were led to what the tour guide claims to be the best view of the whole pitch.

He was not lying.

From this angle, you can see the whole stadium without even moving 1 muscle of ur neck.
Notice those bunch of people on the letter 'S'. There was where I was in 5 pictures ago.

Anyone wants to have a go at guessing the price of the seats at this area?

Answer to the question before : FREE

Yup, the best seats in the stadium are free. But not for u or me... Its only for disabled people. So the OKU gets the best of the best if they go watch football there. Free tickets + best seats somemore~~~~

After that, we were taken to a bunch of plaques to commemorate what the tour guide said as the 'Munich Tragedy'. Call ur diehard Man U fans explain. I'm not THAT into football...

Then, the better part of the tour began....

I can already see the sides of your mouth curling up~~~~

This is the Int. Hons. Board where they honour the players of Man U who went on to represent their country's football teams. Apparently Owen's name is not there cuz he is not in the England team when he joined Man U. I wasn't able to look at the names cuz we weren't there for long. Maybe Park Ji Sung's name might be there......
Btw, this is in the Player's Lounge where they chill out after a match and 'entertain' the visitor teams.

Yeah.... the best part - the actual changing room of the players.

It was only less than a day ago when all of the Man U players were actually sitting here getting ready for the game.

To be honest, it actually smelt good in there. I was expecting lots of BO and sweaty armpit, wet socks, mud & grass smell there but it actually smell fresh in there. Ventilation there must be good...

The clothes are just there for reference purposes, of course the players don't have to actually sit the same place everytime they are there.

That's actually Van der Sar next to Kuszcak but no time to take cuz people flocking around.

No offense, but I can only barely recognise 50% of the names there.. haha, so I just randomly took some of those that I don't even know.... =P

The poor benchwarmers? They were hidden in the darkest corner of the whole room...

The stratergy place. Its hard to imagine but less than 24 hours ago, Sir Alex Ferguson was standing there pointing here and there. Notice the lil Ipod dock below the screen. Wth would u need an Ipod dock for at half time? Maybe listen to Glory Glory Man U to brain wash them.

The seats are, for some unknown reason, racing car seats. maybe cuz they were sponsered by Audi...
Believe me though, the seats are dam comfy as well.... Maybe thats y the managers always stand up during games. If not they might fall asleep seating on these seats.

After that, Its already the end of the whole tour.... It was nearly an hour but well worth it.

well i created this collage for the farewell trip years ago as this is the only trip we have full members of bredpits.
as we know, bredpits will be fully separated by sunday as there will be no more form 6 gang.
everyone will be going into different university, pursuing their own course, fighting for their own dream.

The speech he was giving was involving criminalising war....

Which was good, yeah...

But during the time when he was giving the speech, the whole of Malaysia was preparing to embrace Najib as the 6th Prime Minister.

Everyone was expecting little snippets of political views from him...

But we were all disappointed =(

But nonetheless, it was really an eye-opener, being able to finally attend a talk held by the man who shaped our country till how it is today...

U have heard so many stories about how articulate n sharp he is.

But u gotta be there to REALLY understand what people meant by that.

At 80+ years old, he is as old as, if not even older than most of everyone's grandparents.

And yet there he is still, at the podium, the centre of attention of everyone, giving speeches and answering everyone's questions saturated with intelligence, facts and wit.

The next day when i read The Star online, he was already back in Malaysia attendng the ceremony for the appointment of Najib to be the 6th Prime Minister.

1 day prior to the speech, he was also still in Malaysia... =O

Can u imagine his stamina? Flying across the globe 2 times in 2 days?

I would have died..... =P ( Well, there is the fact that he travels 1st class n get special treatment n stuff, but i digress....)

( PS: I was actually one of the lucky few who was able to actually sneak up n take a picture with Tun & his wife, but its in my phone... remind me to show u guys the pic, if any of u are interested that is^^ )

i will keep it short and simple la ha.. vy casual talk...

so say lets look at the monotony of life from a micro-scale...

weekdays u get up brush ur teeth, wash ur face, eat/dun eat something go sch/work/uni, come back eat dinner, work/study/chillax and the same thing goes on and on and on until weekends where u chillax/work even more... and then the circle goes round and round again. espcially during exams where u wake up study, eat, worry, sleep/cant sleep; study eat worry sleep/cant sleep; study eat worry sleep/cant sleep... its like eating then shitting; shitting then eating;eating then shitting; shitting then eating again.. or rather to conclude from this observation, the circle of life revolves around ur gastrointestinal GI tract only...

on a more macro-scale... u went to kindergarden, went to primary school for 6 yrs, well 5 for me, secondary school 5 yrs, alevel stpm college watever 2 yrs, study summor in uni 3-5 yrs... during those times u start wondering wat life is? wats our purpose? then bla bla bla...then study summor till u hav headache..i mean PhD la... or u go out work and earn money for the rest 30-40 yrs.. in the middle of those yrs u find gf, pak thor, marry, shag a bit... (shag= uh uh uh/sexcersise/rock the bed/watever u cal it.. guys just dun overdo it.. can get penile fracture...) then got kids, u live for ur kids, work for ur family and then when all grown up u retire and do wat?? shake those two wrinkled and shriveled up balls wif nothing to do, or for gals saggy wrinkly breasts... and then u tink again about those thoughts u have when u were young about life.. ur prpose in life.. why and what were u doing here.. what the ehck hav u done wif the past 60-70 yrs of ur freaking life... then u tink till u die lo...

well some ppl may argue like oh live for enjoyment.. go holidays.. eat nice nice food.. but then ya la. its also the same wat.. u do this for the nex 50 yrs of ur life.. in the end in my opinion also accounts for nothing wat.. wat does living for the moment mean??

in the end.. my only question is if u hav nothing to die for, whats worth living for then?

Okay, so it is the 2nd day now... Getiing abit hard for me to recollect the incidents ald.. hhahaha.. it has been 1 week ald okay...=\

It was one of the sunniest days anyone had ever seen here... Tats y, needless to say, I made up my mind straight away to go to

LECTURES!!!!

My, my, my.... such a good n hardworking guy I am right? 9am-5pm lectures, pleasant as always =)

Winter trip

Hey, i m not going to lose out here. Hehe.. I went for a winter trip to boston, orlando, n miami n ta da~~~!! Here i m to show u guys some photos n tell briefly bout the trip. We reached boston on 22nd. Basically juz walked around boston, visited musuems, MIT n Harvard. Went for ice skating at Boston Common during Christmas eve. Quite fun to skate outdoor with christmas songs playing along.

These 2 young ladies thought tat they could skate. Hmmm... Though cute, they were quite annoying. Felt like confronting them n say "Can u stop blocking the traffic? Go back!"

London New Year

After such an emo post... we shud hav a happy one rite? Come on lah.... Happy Chinese New Year wei.... HAPPY!!! tats the key word... y go post so emo stuff? haiz haiz...... those wan emo or cry one i encourage u go watch 1 litre of tears. Can cry 1 litre of tears one seriously.... cry till u dry up. need eye-mo.

So.. basically, this post is the long-lost one about the Ang Moh new year celebration in London. If u guys still remember, Chia Khai came over and we had FREAKING AWESOME ROAST DUCK before going to the mall.

Anyway, after the mall we decided to jz head back to my place cuz it wuz oni bout 6pm n the celebrations basically starts at 12(duh~~~). Guess wat we had for dinner?

KFC!!!! yesh.. the familiar old white ah-pek still serves deep fried super oily chicken here. Gosh, dam miss the hot n spicy back home. Theres basically oni original recipe here.... eat alot oso dam sien. =(

We figured that since the celebrations oni start by 12am, we might as well go later abit, so we went at bout 10pm. Mana tau........ well, u guys can see the pics urself.

Its quite dark cuz Chia Khai's camera not realli high quality. Click it n wait it load. Shows the amount of people just oni OUTSIDE the TUBE station nia. We not even anywhere near the fireworks place.

Btw we exited from the tube station called Embankment.

Another slightly brighter one. I think this is kinda like the whole population of Alor Star ald. Haha.

After a short walk from the tube, we came to a crossroad, then spotted these dam freakin' cool police. I mean seriously man... Policemen in horses wei..... DAM YENG!!!

Wen oni can we see our Msian police on kerbaus? then go thru the roads on a cart wif the kerbau in front.. =D

Bad news was that, although we reached at 10pm lik tat, there r ald a whole bunch of ANG MOHS WHO HAVE NO LIFE go to stand at the veiwing area since 6pm. WTF rite?? stand there for 6 dam hours.. siao one....

This caused us to lose the best viewing point at Westminster Bridge. Basically that is the bridge directly facing the London Eye lah...

So we hav 2 walk to the next bridge called Waterloo bridge to watch from there. Naturally, the view from there sux lah... but wat to do? =(

Noticed that the building at the left side changed colour n designs? Cuz its the place where they projected images n stuff there. Its the LG building apparently, n got advertisements n stuff kept showing there.

As we were waiting on the bridge, there was these 2 huge-ass speakers boombox thingy hanging above us. Its seriously as tall as a 1 storey house. 2 speakers saja can hear throughout the whole bridge ald.

hi everyone, just want to wish everyone a happy and prosperous Happy CNY!!! its been a long time since i last posted anything on this blog. i think probaly a year plus liao kut. hav always thought of writing somthing, but nothing meaningful to say. not that this post holds any meaningful meanings, well i just felt its been time i contribute a little to the existing posts. haha.

i am going to celebrate CNY this year this weekend. starting on a friday evening with my hall mates, we going for steamboat; saturday afternoon probaly going to some UCL CNY carnival, saturday evening having reunion dinner with my CTC friends; and sunday lunch with my brother and sister. *got angpau from my parents leh* haha. Monday Che 1 go for lectures, tuesday and wednesday no school. a midweek weekend which i have been waiting for all term. so ya la. this year i celebrate and go out more with friends cos my parents are not here. cos they came last november and my bro went back in dec, so there's not muc point in them coming in january. for the past two CNY while they were here i was spending most of my time with them. so its something new celebrating CNY without them around. weird enough, come out 2 years plus already, this is the first time i am celebrating CNY more with my friends.

i also miss spending CNY with u all i guess. always wanted to go back for the CNY gathering more than all the other gatherings u all have had. i dunno why, but i really want to go back lor. jus to makan makan, hang out a bit would be enuf. but sadly i wont be able to do so for the next few years, and when i can do so, i think probaly we all will be scattered all over the world and it will be quite hard to meet up again. anyway, i also want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a prosperous year of course, happy new year(english version), merry belated christmas, all the best of luck and goodness in the year to come and in everything and anything you all were to do and will be involved in, be it work, studies, love life (this one very important), relationships, family, business, one night stands(for ah joon)... and err.. i think this is wat i can think of at the moment.

you noe, there are lots of things that can be said, and a lot of things that can be done. but staring at the screen thinking of what to say or do, i cant really think of anything. the only thoughts that come to my mind is how much i enjoyed my few years with you all, and looking back through the times, i thank you all for being such nice and good friends to me, for accepting me for who i am and putting up with my personality. and i guess i just want the best for everyone in their lives cos i tink thats the best i can hope and wish for for u all. heh. gtg.

oklah... as for 2nd day, we woke up quite late cuz nite b4 played Metal Slug X together. OMG GUYS U ALL HAV 2 REPLAY TAT GAME WEI..... DAM AWESOME N BRINGS BACK SOOO MANY MEMORIES!!!

so wen we woke up ald afternoon liaoz... so jz decided to go out for lunch lah. my neighbour fren concord las time was in town n invited us out for lunch. So we ma go together lor..

ROAST DUCK!!!! Even whole Msia can't find roast duck as AWESOME as this. Believe me.
All the KL ppl also says so.

Yeah guys... look at that duck wei... look at the gravy... can u imagine the taste?
let me describe it.

1st, wen u bite it, ur tongue will 1st taste the sweetness of the gravy, slowly trickling down ur mouth, the aroma of it slowly rise into ur nose, ur olfactory nerves sending signals straight to ur brain.

Next, when u really start to sink ur teeth into the meat, then the REAL heavenly part starts. The duck fat starts seeping out, bombarding ur mouth n noses with the most FANTASTIC aroma of duck. The oil is not oily, mind u.. its duck oil, its just slightly more viscous than water. But the smell, oh my god... undescribable...

After that oni u bite into the meat.... the meat texture is just nice, slightly more tough than chicken, but not as tough as pork.... just the correct texture to chew on....

oni 1 word to describe : ORGASMIC

its like having a DUCK FLAVOURED ORGASM IN UR MOUTH.

(Disclaimer : if u dun understand any word from up there better not find wat they mean, u might be quite disappointed + surprised n dun sue me pls ><)

After lunch, me n chia khai went to explore some new places in London. If any of u read newspaper daily, sure have heard of this new shopping mall that opened in London rite? Its called Westfield, the 'largest' mall in whole of Europe, apparently.

The whole mall is only 2 floors high.

The moment u step inside, straight feel like u inside a place tats like combination of Midvalley + Pavillion. The concept is kinda like midvalley, but whole ting is white, so reminds me of pavillion.

Hei guys..... sorry for the slightly late post... =/ Busy busy.. haha

Anyway, back here in the cold upper north.. ntg much happen, but a certain Mr.Lau came over to pay me a little visit for the last few days of last year.. At least i did not pass the new year alone this year. =D

Menu says : Fresh breast of chicken, avocado, streaky bacon, salad, mayonnaise and relish.

Oh god the chicken is pencil and ink also kenot describe (see! i have not lose my chinese roots yet =D). Fried to perfection i tell u. the size is 2 times the chicken they serve at the sad KFC at Jalan Stadium there one. For those who dont know, GBK burgers like this, normal people can't even open mouth big enough to fit into ur mouth.

This burger is even larger than mine. Enough said. Dont worry, forks n knives r always supplied for those uninitiated n00bs hahahah.

Again, this is jz dam awesome. REAL oreos with frozen milk i tink n cream n stuff. The metal cup is twice as big as any cups u have seen before. They even froze the metal cup before serving us, so the drinks are forever cold.

We posing with our food. U guys can kind of see how huge the burgers n drinks are. And wat i meant by normal people mouth sure kenot fit the burger one. Heck, even holding it is a problem.

Of course, good food never come cheap though. =(

But luckily, i got a voucher, we get 2 burgers for the price of one. So what was supposed to be bout 11 pounds per person ended up just bout 7 pounds per person.

I noe... u all 101% start counting in ur head ald. 7X6 = 42 ok...... So RM42 for 1 meal. But think bout it, even if u all went to places like Chilli's or TGI Fridays, it would be even more exp rite?

I rest my case.

After dinner, we just went out for a stroll. We went to a place called Canary Wharf, which is the place where all the dai-lou of the business world open their headquaters in UK. So all the buildings quite nice lah and modern.
Too bad none of us had any good cams so the pics are mostly not tat nice.

Btw, tats Barclay's Bank, the bank sponser the EPL one rite.. one of the banks here lah.. Behind it is actually HSBC HQ, but got covered.

Just got back from langkawi and i am too tired after weeks of outing & camping, still i am going penang for countdown tomorrow. some more, i am driving, so i can only spend some little time blogging here.

What I enjoyed within a week in KL

talking about enjoy, food will never be neglected in this topic, so i am going to list out what i ate within a week. okay, lets start with the 1st meal. its at ss2 murni, what i ordered is the chicken maryland.

after finished eating, we went cineleisure for 'The day the earth stood still' (boring show), we bought 9 tickets & enjoy 2 ice creams for free.

after finish watching movie, we went 7-11 to buy kickapoo & drink it with Qing's bacardi.
what happened was Qing was drunk (refer to when she was drunk).
after that we slept & the next day went sunway for shopping.
in sunway, we had TGI friday's for lunch, i ordered a 3 course meal with sizzling chicken & cheese as entree

after eating we go round & round, met kang up & go to look at the cosplay forum. what happened that day was kang had to buy himself a new handphone which is the Sony Ericsson K660i as christmas present (details on out in kl)
then we went for steamboat somewhere nearby, i forgot the name, just know that there is a SOHAI waiter, his jokes are not funny.

then we went to enjoy carlsberg & music in coco banana.
then everyone's tired & slept till the next morning.
we headed to midvalley to continue shopping. we had sushi zanmai for brunch & shihlin's for dinner. i tried the oyster mee sua, nice!! we watched another stupid show called twilight (it is only mend for girls that dream for handsome guy)
everyone back to their places as they got class while i went back joon's house to watch alonso injured fabregas!
the next day, joon went to class & i updated my blog in his house while waiting him to fetch me out. i took microwaved lunch box, pity.. he back & brought me to fitness 1st & we had dinner in wong kok. later he send me back to setapak
the next day, we went suria klcc, i had brunch in setapak before going there, bought some nice famous amos chocs and later we get to pavillion, the girls makan in food court while me & kang try my very 1st subway

very 1st subway, the thing is cold & it sucks
later we resumed on shopping, ck & I bought a same shirt n some attires in padini & we went to MAC to buy mum her hilighter also to Guess to buy handbags as birthday & christmas present for her. Then xin tian them went for karaoke in red box while kang, me n hoi ting headed home & enjoy our supper in hawkers & old town down setapak.
the next day, we go up genting, i had marybrown as lunch & sushi king for dinner

for supper?? kfc in 1st world lobby..

cant finish it, we ta pao go back hotel..
the next day, i had bak kut teh then rushly balik kl.
i went to subang jaya. we had noodles for dinner. the noodles are nice, fantastic.
we went for the third stupid movie, the spirit (worst of all).
i dont wanna watch movie in kl anymore!!!! after the movie, every1 went back to my place & rest.
the next day, we had brunch in peppercorn & zi hong went back setapak with me.
we took lrt, monorail n taxis to get back to pack my luggage before going back to a/s.

and after reaching a/s, i rushed to as mall for movie, bt sadly, xq didn't bring her keys, so we just settled down in halo cafe & chat. that's all about what happened in a week's time

as everyone has been waiting for me to post what's going on these days, i decided to fight the sleeping god and post about the happenings. thanks shu yi for linking here. the story begins now with some wonderful pictures and story. Nic kindly presents ' DUMMIES IN GENTING"

a lot of stupid stuffs and funny stuffs happen in genting, hopefully i can recall all and file it here. there are 3 batches that went up genting that day, 1st is the morning setapak people, 2nd is the subang people a.k.a. subang-lubang. lastly is the batch full of 'tak chek kia' and a lovely couple with the bride very eng go post a lot of craps in chatbox of BREDPITS (kang ying ying in case u guys have no idea who she is)
we have some hard time after reaching genting for the 1st batch, kang and I hardly persuaded the hotel attendants to give us the room with a deposit of RM100. so we headed to sleep till the time we hang out.

after finish dinner, we went back for a rest, meanwhile, we were playing poker and mr.TLC lost RM25 for being the dealer. (thats why everyone posting of the figure 25), meanwhile, we also did a draw for the bed, pillow & blanket, i had the worst bed ever (screw u, theme park hotel!!)

while we are eating, santa claus passed by and asked us why we were there, its damn emberassing. with almost everyone sitting there got credit card. LOL. fortunately we just had no place to SIT, not SLEEP.

after finish eating, its time for a sleep.. and here the another story started,
as we were chatting in the room, suddenly the door bell rang, & mr hiao (horny), wei jack went for a look, he opened a door & suddenly he was asked whether he wanted some services (best in thailand). surprisingly, jack answered 'we can do it ourselves', but deeply we know, if its the girls who ask that, he may just pull her in, close the door and say 'i hope you could nudge me' loud, then we only get to know that it was a prank by jin xuan. anyway, her friends all pretty, anyone interested?? please leave ur contacts in comments, haha.

this lady, we must talk bout her, she is a damn joker that activates her alarm at 6am, and when the alarm sounded, she didn't know that it's hers. damn joker woke everyone up and get all the scolding the next day. she is also the 1 who slept with jian hao, in the sense, pure sleeping.

the next day, some people woke up & had cup noodles with starbucks coffee, those who didn't take cup noodles went for a nice breakfast. later we boarded back and thanks to the shitty genting bus, i felt drizzy and many vomit. the making of tiramisu

yup. today i am so boring, so jo taught me how to make tiramisu, the simplest way.

ingredients
500g mascarporne cheese
3 tablespoon of sugar
3 eggs
a pack of tiramisu biscuit
coffee a bowl
some choc powder

1. seperate the egg white and egg yolk

2. beat the egg yolk and egg white separately.

3. add beaten egg yolk to mascarpone cheese and continue beat it.
4. add egg white to the mixture.

5.dip the tiramisu biscuit in coffee and cover the biscuits with the mixture..like the bowl in the middle.
6. sprinkle some choc powder and freeze it in the fridge for an hour, let it chill
7. nice tiramisu is ready to be served

Finaly i stop craving for malaysian food after having this dinner at this restaurant called Awana with yevonn n her dad..and the most prestigious 1...Kelantan Tunku Titi!Oh my gosh...i nv think of having dinner with any royalty but i ned to admit that he is really nice...*doesnt look like royalty*
The food there is really really so tasty!!guys...u ned to try it seriosly!!It does cost a lot but u noe wat...we manage to get 50% OFF because we sumhow get to know the ownwer of the restaurant during one of the Hari Raya Open Day Event in london last months.It suppose to cost us around 200 pounds...
Well...Wat i can say...i nv imagine that I could step in that restaurant... but it really did happened...tats life...all the impossibilities will turn to possiblities.haha..Tats one of the gud point of meeting these "huge " people during events...i meet with JimmyChoo n have meals with his family as well...if anybody noe of him??

hooray.. finally jolyn created her own blog.. bt we also had our whale of time.. today is our spaghetti day!!! me, eng n wan yen cooked spaghetti for lunch in tian's hse.. although the onion a bit burnt.. bt stil taste nice.. haha..b4 this we go buy stuffs in as mall. lots of craps that we joked and ah eng is a joker today.. then ah eng's mum sent some food and we had some crabs.. n stupid story of KING card.. haha.. the card where v heard jian hao kiss yee ping.. siok lo her..

malaysia vs others

I tried to point out that many Malaysians always convert and that is
why they say the UK is expensive. In fact, the cost of living is much
cheaper than in Malaysia.
In actual fact, Malaysians are being conned because for such a rich
and resource rich country, the pay in Malaysia is way too low compared
to the cost of living and inflation.

One good example is Singapore.
Singaporeans (average) earns around S$3000 to S$4000 and nearly
everything is half the price of Malaysia. Eg clothes, computer parts,
electronics etc.
But the average Malaysian still earns M$2000 plus and goods are double
the price of Singapore.

This is the same as the UK. If you earn around 2000 pounds, you can
liken this to the person earning RM$2000 in Malaysia. I'll give you
some examples below. Maybe you can understand.

1) Good terrace house
It is more or less the same. If you want a house in KL, it would most
probably be in Puchong and not Damansara Heights. So your house would
be
RM$200,000. In UK, you can get a decent new house in Zone 6 (still
within the tube) for 200,000 pounds.

If non London, you can get a nice house also for less than 200,000
pounds outside London. The same also applies to buying a house in
Seremban, Kajang etc. You can buy a nice house for RM200,000 below.
So buying a house is the same for the local and the Malaysian.

Renting a place is the same too or maybe cheaper than in Malaysia (I
am not sure of this). A 2-bedroom flat in London is about 750 pounds
(Zone 2).
500 pounds outside Zone 6 but still able to commute to London. A
2-bedroom house in Nottingham is 450 to 500 pounds. A 3-bedroom house
in Belfast is about 300 pounds.

2) A car
A good Wira is RM$55,000. Most Malaysians have to take 7-year loans
and be in debt all the time. If you are earning RM$2000 a month, you
take nearly 3 years saving the RM$2000 with not eating at all just to
buy a Wira.

In UK, the average local earns about 2000 pounds. He saves 3 months,
he can buy outright a good Ford Fiesta or a Vauxhall Corsa without
being in debt.

If buying a second hand car, even better. A 1990 Mercedes 190E cost
500 pounds. My 1996 Mercedes E220 cost 2000 pounds. My friend just
gave me his 1989 Honda Accord (Auto) for free because he said he could
only get 30 pounds for it. I used it for a few months and decided to
give it of for free too.
That alone speaks for itself.

Even if you are kuli or an office boy, you still can drive a Mercedes
or a BM. Yes, kuli's and office boy's get paid quite well.
Average temp/office boy in London can earn about 7 to 10 pounds and
hour. Overtime is 1.5 times or double. A brick-layer can earn 20
pounds an hour.
The same Indon who lays bricks in Malaysia earns RM$50 for the wholeday.

Before I became a doctor, I used to be an office boy and I earned near
300 pounds a week working about 70 hours a week.

My makan was 30 pounds a week.

My rent was 70 pounds a week for a room but I still drove a BMW back
then. I bought the 10-year old BMW 3 Series car for 200 pounds.Amazing
how an office boy can drive a safe and luxurious car.

3) Petrol.
For a UK person earning 2000 pounds, 80 pence a litre/gallon is
cheaper than RM$1.52 paid in Malaysia. If you don't convert, it is
like paying 80 sen a litre in Malaysia

4) Shopping
20 pounds (which is 1% of 2000 pounds) can buy you 1 week's worth of
groceries in Tesco.
RM$100 (which is 10% of RM$2000) can also buy you 1 week's worth of
groceries in Giant or Carrefour.

5) Utility Bills (This is what I pay in UK)

a. Virtually non-stop heating the whole day only 20 pounds a month.

(Only 1% of the 2000 pounds earned)
b. Electricity, I use my electricity maximum only 20 pounds a month.
(Only 1% of the 2000 pounds earned)
c. My water bill also comes to about 20 pounds a month (Only 1% of the
2000 pounds earned)
d. My internet - I get 2Mbps for about 25 pounds (Bulldog DSL) (Also
slightly above 1% of the 2000 pounds earned)
e. Astro Equivalent (NTL cable or Sky) - 30 pounds per month (Also
slightly above 1% of the 2000 pounds earned)

In Malaysia, this is what I used to pay
i. Tenaga Bill comes to RM$200 to RM300 a month with 3 air-cons. This
is more than 10% of the RM$2000 earned)
ii. Water (Puas) comes to RM$40 (This is about 2% of the RM$2000 earned)
iii. Astro RM$100 (if you take Chinese package) (This is about 5% of
the RM$2000 you earn)
iv. Internet Streamyx 512K RM 88 per month (This is about 5% of RM2000
you earn)

6) Books
A good book is about 10 to 15 pounds in the UK. This is less than 1%
of the 2000 pounds you earn. In Malaysia, you have to spend RM$75 to
RM$100 for a decent book in MPH or Kinokuniya in KLCC. This is about
5% of the RM$2000 ringgit you earn.

7) Education.
I think it is about RM$20,000 per year to do a degree in Sunway Monash
and about RM$12,000 per year to send your kid to UM, UKM, USM etc. I
am not sure about this.
But in UK, it is only 3000 pounds a year to send your kid to a great
university. The British are very unhappy that the grants have been
taken away.
Previously, it was virtually free for an English man to send his kid
to university but now, since the grant has been take away, he has to
spend 3000
pounds per year to send his kid to university and less money to get
drunk in the pub.

Well, if you are earning RM$2000 ringgit, sending your kid to UM to
study is quite difficult. If you are earning 2000 pounds per month,
you can easily send you kid to university in the UK.

8) Luxuries
Panasonic Plasma TV in Malaysia about RM20,000. If you are earning

RM$2000 a month, memang mahal! You have to save 2 years your monthly
salary to buy
it. In UK, the same Panasonic ironically, Panasonic plasma is made in
Japan and Japan is close to Malaysia, so the plasma should be cheaper
in Malaysia) is only 2000 pounds.

9) Health
NHS is free. Though the service is slow, quality is still there. You
still can get a top quality by-pass for free although you may have to
wait many
months.
In Malaysia, IJN charges RM$30,000. SJMC charges RM$50,000. GH is free
but as many people know, GH and UH have clown doctors.

10) Assessments to local councils
I may pay high council tax but at least my council assures my streets
are clean and safe, got no holes (pot holes) on my roads, and they
jump and attend to me whenever I call them.
When I stayed in Malaysia, I paid my assessment and quite rent but
MPSJ I lived in Subang) told me to "podah" whenever I asked them to
come and fill up the pot holes, cut the long lalang, put street
lighting etc.

The councils, especially MPPJ and MPSJ, were more interested in eating
nasi lemak and going for 10 teh tariks in a day during office hours
and hardly did anything for their residents.

11) Income Tax
wasted. When I was unemployed in 1997, the government via social
security paid for my 2-bedroom flat for one whole year and I was given
about 100 pounds per week for me and my wife to live on.

I am happy to know that one day if I lose my job, I can still claim
social security and get my apartment paid and food to eat again for
free. It is a good security to know.

The list goes on. Here alone you can see, the sterling you earn goes a
long way in the UK. So your quality of life is far better in the UK
than a Malaysian in Malaysia.

It is just that Malaysians are just too content with what they have.
But you compare apple for apple.

The British just love to complain. They have it made but still they

love to complain. Nothing is good enough for the British. The
government gives the citizens so much but they still seem to want more
and more.

Facts about using shell citibank credit card. read this.

Are you fancy of getting a credit card that offers 5% rebate on shell
petrol and 1.5% rebate on other purchases?

If your answer is yes, then yo! u are draining your money away!

The newly launched Shell Citibank credit card is not as good as its sounds
- to enjoy the rebate, you must have a carry forward balance. Yes, a carry
forward balance that you have to pay Citibank 18% interest per annum. But
that's is not all, your so called 'rebate' is based on your current month
spending. That means if you have a carry forward of RM10,000 but did not
use the card at all for the current month, you get 'zero' rebate.

To be precise, this 'rebate' card is an old card - it has been around for
about 2 years. But now taking advantage of the fuel cost concern, Citibank
co-branded it with Shell.

This is how the rebate scheme works:
First, you need to have a carry forward balance. The amount of that
carry forward determines the rebate rate (%) that the card holder is
getting.

Shell Citibank
Then based on your current month spend, you will get the rebate (as
shown by the rebate table above) - your rebate is not based on your
total carry forward balance. Repeat: your rebate is not based on your
total carry forward balance, but current month spending

In short, to get your 'rebate' you must have at least of RM2,000
outstanding balance in you card AND continue use the card. The outstanding
balance is the net of previous month balance minus current month payment.
If you do that, every month you will be paying RM30.00, or RM360 a year for
the minimum RM2,000 outstanding balance.

Let's do a simple math here:

If you spend RM500/mth on shell petrol and your classic card has a RM2,000
outstanding balance, at 1.5%, you are getting RM7.50 as 'rebate', while at
the same time, paying RM30.00 for the interest. The 'nett' profit for
Citibank is RMRM22.50. Your are essentially "over paying" 4 times the price
(30/7.5)

To 'break even' (so that your RM30.00 interest payment = rebate value), you
need to pump RM2,000 shell petrol a month, or charge RM6,000 a month for
non-shell related purchases.
